MANILA, Philippines – The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has been a constant source of frustration for many Filipino motorists, and its issues remain unresolved.
According to a Rappler report written by business reporter Lance Spencer Yu, one of these issues stems from the LTO’s use of an old information technology system that allows motor vehicles to register even though they have failed roadworthiness tests.
On Thursday, May 16, Yu sits down with fellow Rappler business reporter Ralf Rivas to discuss challenges faced by the LTO regarding its IT system, and how the agency can move forward to resolve these issues.
