MANILA, Philippines – The UAAP postponed the game slate in six sports on Sunday, November 17, due to the looming threat of Super Typhoon Pepito in Metro Manila.
The league said in a memo late Saturday, November 16, that the Sunday matches in collegiate football, collegiate beach volleyball, high school volleyball, junior high school basketball, chess, and table tennis will be rescheduled to a later date.
Men’s football action was set at the UP Diliman Field in Quezon City, while a quadruple-header in junior high school basketball was lined up at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
Beach volleyball was slated at SM Sands by the Bay in Pasay City as indoor action in high school girls’ volleyball was also supposed to get going at Paco Arena in Manila.
Also pushed back were the chess finals at Adamson Gym in Manila and the table tennis opener at Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque City. – Rappler.com
