MANILA, Philippines – Ex Ex Lovers, an upcoming film starring Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin, is set to hit local theaters on February 12.
Magdangal first confirmed in October 2024 that she and Agustin would be reuniting on the big screen. At the time, she had just finished meeting with directors Dan Villegas and Antoinette Jadaone of Project 8 Projects — the film production company behind the upcoming film.
The teaser trailer for Ex Ex Lovers was then released in December 2024. In the short clip, Loisa Andalio —who plays Magdangal’s daughter in the film — asks her mother, Joy, for one favor: for her dad to walk her down the aisle. Joy is then seen showing Paris locals a picture of Agustin’s character, Ced, and asking if they know him.
When Joy finally manages to locate Ced, their relationship, or what it used to be, is put to the test.
On January 22, Project 8 Projects finally released the full official trailer that gives viewers a wider glimpse at how Ced and Joy’s story unfolds.
In the trailer, Ced even mentions “Chuva Choo Choo,” one of Jolina Magdangal’s hit songs.

Ex Ex Lovers stars Jolina Magdangal, Marvin Agustin, Juan Karlos Labajo, Loisa Andalio, Judy Ann Santos, and Sam Milby.
Magdangal and Agustin’s love team was a hit in the ’90s and the early 2000s. They first starred together in the 1996 teen show Gimik, where they starred as Joey and Ese. They then appeared in the teleserye Esperanza, and later, Labs Ko Si Babe. They also starred in several iconic films such as Flames: The Movie, Kung Ayaw Mo Huwag Mo, and Labs Kita Okey Ka Lang. In 2014, the pair also appeared together in the teleserye FlorDeLiza. – Rappler.com
